Hey Guys, I’m back with another blog post for the wonderful Jockey & Jill. Today I thought I would have a chat about what has been going on recently and give you all a long overdue update on my horses.
A couple of weeks ago MooMoo, my 7 year old ex hurdler got sold to a family member of mine. I’m so pleased he has gone to somebody close to me that I know will look after him.
Not long after the sale of Moo Moo, I took a long journey to Cumbria to collect Paris. Paris is a project horse who will be featured on my social media platforms very soon.
Then we have the wonderful, Fanta. Sometimes all it takes is one look at a horse and you just know that you HAVE to take them home with you. Fanta is a huge chestnut gelding. He stood in his field and just looked, well, a little bit sad. He got bullied in the field full of other horses and I couldn’t leave him behind. I instantly clicked with him. He has a beautiful personality and is like a big dog. He will follow me around the fields all day long and just longs to be loved. I cannot wait to get started with Fanta and see where we end up. He is only 4 years old and hasn’t got much of an education yet so my Jockey & Jill sticky bum leggings may be needed for our first ride…
Talking of Jockey & Jill, I recently received a parcel full of goodies. The pink hoodie is now my absolute go-to. I have pretty much not taken it off since it arrived….
With the warm weather we have been getting recently, the stable style show shirt in black has been a life saver. With the mesh type fabric and short sleeves I feel comfortable and cool out in the sun with my
Horses.
On an other note, I get a lot of questions asking me why I decided to start posting on TikTok and how I grew my page over the past few months.
All in all, I just wanted to show a quick before and after of my stable yard during the transformation, but when I noticed my videos starting to get lots of comments asking me more about my life, horses and more I decided to ‘brave it’ and make a video showing a bit more. Speaking to the camera for the first time was strange, it felt unnatural for me. I was worried about people I knew seeing the video and the fear of people judging me.
This video blew up and got over 100k views. This was the confidence boost I needed, so I made another video the next day and that is where my love for content creation blossomed.
People ask me if the ‘hate’ bothers me and the short answer is, no. I have had a couple of people in my circle doubt what I am trying to achieve but for me, content creation is like a hobby, I find it fun, and the fact that I can make videos for my followers to enjoy is what makes me happy. I now live by “Fake it till’ you make it”. I am now confident in my videos and any negative opinions don’t phase me in the slightest.
Recently I have been overwhelmed with the amount of positivity on my page and I thank all of my followers for their continued support!
